Savon’s journey began with academic excellence, earning him the distinction of Cum Laude Business Management graduate from Tiffin University. Fueled by a desire to make a tangible difference, he founded Empire Consulting/Gibson Financial Planning in 2014. His mission: is to illuminate the path to financial literacy in communities where it’s needed most.
At the heart of Savon’s innovative approach are workshops that cover a spectrum of financial topics. From creating generational wealth through smart investments to nurturing entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency, these initiatives are transformative. They’re designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and tools to take control of their financial destinies.
As a devoted husband and proud father of three, Savon leads by example, pursuing lifelong learning. He completed coursework at Xavier University towards a Financial Planning certification, a field where African Americans represent only 2% nationally. His dedication to personal growth reflects his commitment to enhancing the lives of those he serves.
Since 2015, Savon has been the driving force behind monthly Financial Literacy Workshops at the Hamilton County Public Library and the Hamilton County Youth Detention Center. These sessions have touched the lives of over 600 families and teens, imparting invaluable financial wisdom.
Savon’s impact extends beyond workshops. He’s a true partner in education, collaborating with institutions such as Cincinnati Job Corps, Carpe Diem Preparatory Academy, Cincinnati Public Schools My Tomorrow Business Training Center, and Career Based Learning. Through these alliances, he’s brought financial workshops to more than 200 students in a school setting, nurturing financial literacy from a young age.
In 2017, Savon took his commitment to financial education even further by screening the documentary “Generation One: The Search for Black Wealth.” As a testament to his dedication, he held a contest with the audience, awarding four stock certificates to fortunate winners, an inspiring step towards building wealth through financial markets.

The People's Planner
From 2015 to 2019, Gibson Financial Planning has hosted monthly Financial Literacy Workshops at the Hamilton County Main Library and the Hamilton County Youth Detention Center that have impacted the lives of over 300 families and teens.
With over 12 years of experience, which includes 7 years with the Internal Revenue Service, Savon has made it his mission to educate individuals on creating generational wealth through budgeting, investing, entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency by offering financial planning services.
Savon believes in 3 key qualities of consumer input that ultimately lead to 3 key consumer outcomes. The 3 key qualities of consumer input are integrity, relationships, and loyalty. The 3 key qualities of consumer outcomes are growth, freedom, and prosperity. Savon cherishes the fiduciary duties he has with his clients with great passion, always working hard to ensure they receive the necessary tools for success. Savon concludes that to establish anything for future generations, we have to grow mentally and become discipline, which gives us the freedom to prosper for generations to come.
